Thanks.  One of the things that has bugged me about many of our current discussions on &quot;ethics&quot; is that it has lacked common sense; apparently substituting unreasoning dogma, neo-Thomistic hairsplitting, and political rhetoric in the place of coherent thought.

I suppose this isn&#039;t really surprising given the mono-phasic cultures we live in right now, but I do find it frustrating .  I&#039;d be interested in your take on it given your background in studying charismatic religions.
