I’m trying out some new themes…

Looks scholarly. Has that cold beer, leather bound book, cuban cigar feel. I think I’m growing elbow patches… only problem is I’m wearing short sleeves!
Hmmm, okay, the immediate remedy for that is to grab a 20 year old bottle of Taylor and Fladgate port
Black Tie OR jean shorts and T-shirt are mandatory!!!
This is pretty good, but I also liked your previous template which I thought was pretty original. The Bach Choir website I visited, which is great by the way, might also provide some added inspiration? I think its design elements might be closer to what you want to convey, but I might be mistaken.
Personal note: I am not sure that the wood for the labels fits in. It looks like “ordinary” wood, like that on a wall in a den, and it doesn’t seem to match the aesthetic overall. Maybe try experimenting with fonts too.
Otherwise, I have to be frank, I really read for content. Some of my favourite blogs are absolute eyesores, not that I would ever tell them that.
Sorry, spam as usual.
I am viewing this page in Firefox, high resolution, on a wide screen. The menu bar at the top is lifting off the rest of the wood behind it, and juts out to the right. One does not notice it at first. If you need me to do a screen capture and send it by email, let me know.
Hi Max,
The last one was nice, but I was getting tired of its limits. I do like the OBC site and I may well see if I can talk with Ken (the webmaster) about using some of the graphics for a base. You are right about it being closer to what I want to convey as far as design elements are concerned.
I’m sticking with this theme for now, but I will probably change out the graphics (yeah, I dislike the “wood” labels too!) and probably play around with the fonts as well.

I think we have the same settings and browsers (GRIN). Yeah, believe it or not, that’s actually in the coding! One of the things to change once I get some other stuff out of the way….
